Description:
The COVID-19 stimulus payments, are automatic for most taxpayers. No further action is needed by taxpayers who filed tax returns in 2018 and 2019 and most seniors and retirees. Use the "Get My Payment" tool (https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment) to check payment status; determine payment type; and in certain situations, "Get My Payment" will give you the option of providing your bank account information to receive your Payment by direct deposit. For example, if your payment was sent by mail and the Post Office was unable to deliver it.

People NOT receiving automatic stimulus payments include those who did not file tax returns for 2018 or 2019 OR who do not receive Social Security, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), a Veterans Affairs pension or disability benefit, or Railroad Retirement benefits. This IRS tool (https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/non-filers-enter-payment-info-here) allows people in such a situation to submit their information in order to receive the stimulus payment.
