Description:
The Canton Township Office offers emergency assistance for eligible residents. Emergency Assistance consists of a one-time payment for eviction notices and power/water shut offs. The maximum grant for this program is up to $500.
The person/household will have to apply for township general assistance first; and if they do not qualify, they will then be screened for emergency assistance. The household's monthly income must be BELOW $700.
Hours:
Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (closed 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm),
Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (closed 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.)
