Description:
The Tazewell County Courthouse offers limited pro bono legal guidance for individuals involved in civil cases. Volunteer attorneys provide short consultations to answer questions, explain legal procedures, and provide general direction on the case. Volunteers will not provide representation in court for the legal matter. The help desk is not able to assist with matters involving domestic violence, or on emergency petitions or orders.
Hours:
Main Office Hours: Monday, Tuesday & Friday: 8:30-12:30; Wednesday & Thursday: 11-3
Intake Process:
Walk-in on dates service is offered. A paralegal will collect intake information and then arrange a 30 minute consultation with a lawyer the same day (as long as appointments are not filled).
