Mueller Pediatric Therapy is a Private Pediatric Agency serving clients from Birth-18 years of age. We are committed to providing your family with therapists who are passionate about the pediatric population and dedicated in helping your child develop to his/her fullest potential. MPT provides services in a child's natural environment (home, daycare, grandparents etc.) as well as services at our clinic. We want to ensure your child is comfortable in any setting he/she is receiving services in and also encourage caregivers to be as involved as possible. This will allow the child more opportunities to generalize new skills and gives the provider and parent ample time to communicate.

Description
On your first visit to see our Audiologist, Dr. McNamara will start by asking you questions about your medical and hearing history. Next, she will look into your ears using a light, called an otoscope, and check for anything in the ear canal that might affect the test results or require referral to your doctor. Finally, she will conduct a test or series of tests to assess: 1) Whether there is a hearing loss 2) The cause of the hearing loss (to the extent possible) 3) The degree and configuration (one or both ears?) of hearing loss 4) The best treatment options

Our Occupational Therapists specialize in evaluating and treating fine motor development, sensory processing, self-help skills/daily living skills, and visual/perceptual skills. Occupational therapy helps children to develop the underlying skills necessary for learning and performing specific tasks. Pediatric occupational therapy helps children develop the basic sensory awareness and motor skills needed for motor development, learning and healthy behavior. Occupational therapists not only work directly with the child, but also with the family, parents, caregivers and teachers in order to educate and reinforce specific skills and behaviors which will be used to improve and facilitate the childâs performance and functioning.
