The Arc of Illinois truly believes that we are all people first and because of that, regardless of any developmental or intellectual differences, everyone deserves the same rights and opportunities.
In order to do this we regularly host events that bring in family members, self advocates, and professionals in the field to educate them on the latest and best practices. The Arc of Illinois also provides updates on a daily basis on all issues involving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In addition to this, The Arc of Illinois has many different programs that are there to provide a plethora of resources to help each family member, advocate, and professional with their questions.
Our goal through the Assistive Technology Program, is to enhance and improve the quality of life for persons with intellectual/ developmental disabilities by providing opportunities for individuals to receive technology to help with education, employment, community living and independence.

Must be an Illinois resident, must be a person with an intellectual or developmental disability, or is a family member in behalf of a person with an intellectual or developmental disability.
