RSVP of Peoria and Tazewell Counties

Description:

RSVP allows individuals age 55 and older to put their skills and life experiences to work in their communities through volunteer opportunities.

Volunteer services RSVP will be developing and coordinating include:

o Free Transportation services for seniors needing rides to medical appointments
o Transportation and companionship services for seniors needing rides for groceries or just a friendly visit.
o Food Delivery services to seniors through programs like meals on wheels and volunteering at area food banks and pantries.
o Seniors tutoring students though our schools and after school programs.
o Seniors volunteers assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of our public parks and trails like Wild Life Prairie Park, Peoria Park District, etc.
o Other services to area hospitals, libraries, social services, and others to increase an organization's capacity to continue the work outlined in its mission. RSVP Volunteers will work with non-profit organizations to build their capacity to achieve their agency missions.

Hours:

Main Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 p.m.
