Facilitation Skills Development

Taxonomy Code: TP-6650.2000

Programs that offer workshops or other forms of training or support which help participants develop effective facilitation skills. Participants are taught to guide group process rather than present information, ask the right questions rather than provide the right answers, assure a safe environment for debate, help group members hear and be heard, prevent dominance of one individual or point of view ensuring that the process remains fair and balanced, connect themes and ideas that emerge throughout the meeting to ensure robust solutions, and overall, to orchestrate the flow of the discussion to bring out and focus the wisdom of the group, often as the group creates something new or solves a problem.
