MindOasis is an upscale modern counseling practice in Peoria, IL specifically focusing on healing and helping women and children of all ages. When a person walks into the office, feelings of relaxation instantly take over. Each room is decorated with elegant furniture and decor, soft music is playing in the background, and aromatherapy truly enhances each person!s experience. The practice hosts events such as Art Therapy (Painting) Nights and Essential Oil Classes focusing on Aromatherapy benefits. We also offer massage and Reiki for healing and relaxation.

Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Trauma & PTSD
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic experiences such as painful childhood events, emotional, physical, sexual abuse, neglect, grief & loss, birth trauma and much more. These past events cause anxiety, depression, fear, postpartum depression, and hopelessness that can linger on for years. Therapy can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of healing and releasing the pain. MindOasis has a trained EMDR therapist who can perform Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to help your brain & body heal from the trauma and help the pain to dissipate. We also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as another modality for treating trauma.
Relationships & Parenting
Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection and communication, in all stages of their relationship. Parenting support is helpful to learn better tools for communication, discipline and understanding the child's needs.
