Description:
Established in 1965, the mission of Tri-County Urban League, Inc. is to advance the regional economy and quality of life in Central Illinois by promoting education and improving the employability skills, self-sufficiency, and social well-being of African Americans and people in need. For over 50 years, the agency has been operating and delivering services to economically and socially deprived individuals in the Peoria area. The agency thrives on improving the quality of opportunities to enable disadvantaged individuals to reach their educational and employment goals.

Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Parenting classes: If not referred by DCFS, charge is $65 per class.

Most programs: Anyone in Peoria, Tazewell, or Woodford counties.

Volunteer Opportunities:
There are several volunteer service projects available such as the Urban League Guild where the use of personal, leadership, fundraising skills, and participation in special events are welcomed. Other volunteer opportunities include mentors, tutoring children and adults; assisting in the parents/child center; assisting with clerical work; community service projects and internships.
