Description:
We provide library service for anyone unable to read regular print because of low vision, blindness, or a physical disability. Talking book materials (digital audio books and magazines, braille books and magazines, and playback machines) are mailed directly to and from our patrons' homes. Our program is tax supported, so there is absolutely no out-of-pocket expense to our patrons, including postage. Currently, we serve approximately 13,000 active readers.

Main Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Intake Process:
Please call to request an application, or download one from our website. Fill out the application and ask your physician, nurse, social worker, or librarian to certify your disability. Then mail the completed application to our Burr Ridge location, and a Reader Adviser will call you to set up your account and reading preferences.

English and Spanish, with materials available in several foreign languages.
