The Valeska Hinton Early Childhood Education Center is a school for children ages 3 to 7 years old and their families. Our early childhood program provides care and education in a developmentally appropriate, NAEYC Accredited environment. Guided by the philosophy that all children can learn, Valeska operates year round serving approximately 400 at-risk children from all areas of Peoria Public Schools. Children will gain accelerated development of social, emotional, language, and cognitive ability in a secure and stable environment, children enter the center and join one of our four villages. Valeska's villages serve as a hub for many family and community activities.

Description
At Valeska Hinton Early Childhood Education Center we have a total of seven Speech and Language Pathologists, which work with students and families. If you have concerns about your child's speech and/or language development and they are 3 -5 years of age (not enrolled in kindergarten), please call 672-6810. An appointment will be scheduled with Project S.C.R.E.E.N. to conduct a screening at Valeska Hinton. If your child has received Early Intervention Services for only speech/language therapy, please contact Barb.Daily@psd150.org to begin transition of services.
