Under the Foreclosure Prevention Program, a part of the Save Our Neighborhood Act, IHDA provides grants to HUD approved housing counseling agencies and community based organizations for capacity building, operational expenses, pre and post purchase counseling, foreclosure counseling and education, and staff/counselor training.
IHDA does not directly fund homeowners. If you are a homeowner looking for foreclosure prevention assistance, a listing of funded organizations will be available soon. You may also contact a housing counselor to help you understand what options are available to you.
