Description:

The Benefit Access Application program includes the Seniors Free Transit Ride Pass, the Persons with Disabilities Free Transit Ride Pass, and the License Plate Discount. The Transit Ride Program only applies to metropolitan public transit in Illinois. To be determined eligible for these benefits, a person must submit a Benefit Access Application on the internet. Those not able to access the internet may call the Department on Aging or their local agency on aging. Paper applications are not available. Once the application is approved, a certificate of eligibility can be printed to take to one's local transit authority or Secretary of State Office. The website can be checked at any time to determine application status.
